The Dirties

I just finished watching The Dirties for the second time and holy shit it's still amazing and I have MANY thoughts. This will not be spoiler free at all and I HIGHLY recommend watching yourself before reading this.

One of the main things that sticks out to me is how Matt is fully convinced he's the good guy. I think a huge part of it is that he's always filming and it causes him to feel like a main character, therefore in his mind everyone being cruel to him are not just guys who are bad, but "the bad guys". He thinks he is justified in what he is doing and that is incredibly interesting to me.

His relationship with Owen is so intriguing, he clearly cares a lot about him and at the start Owen feels the same way. He wants to protect Owen and that is part of what in his mind justifies his actions. Seeing his friendship with Owen so strong (and honestly relatable) at the beginning really does make the ending all the more painful. AND THE PART WHERE MATT WAS REWATCHING FOOTAGE OF THEM TOGETHER AFTER THEY FOUGHT OHHGHGHGHHGGG... painful. That's all I have to say for now but I'm getting the DVD of this movie that has commentary so I will probably have more to say after watching that

Nirvana The Band The Show (Webseries) finale + Nirvanna The Band The Show (TV series) episode 1

I finished the webseries of Nirvana The Band The Show, and I'm kind of in awe that they chose to end it that way. It makes sense that the tv show will be a seperate universe (from what I can tell at least) because they can't come back from that. ALSO I LOVE THE FACT THAT MATT THINKS EVERYBODY WILL COME OUT OF THEIR SHOW WITH EVERY RACIAL BIAS WIPED FROM THEIR HEAD. LIKE HE THINKS THEY CAN SAY THE N WORD BECAUSE THE PEOPLE IN THE AUDIENCE WILL EXIT SEEING NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VARIOUS RACES, WHICH IS JUST INSANE WHAT. Side note part of me wonders about in "The Burn" episode if they just saw an apartment on fire and incorporated it into the story because I've heard they do stuff like that, plus it seems way too high quality for a Webseries to fake it.

ONTO THE TV SERIES!! I loved the first episode, but I am waiting a bit to watch the 2nd one with my sibling. I wonder if that was Jay (the real guy)'s actual penis or what because if it is he is very committed to the bit. THE FIRE WAS VERY WELL EDITED IT SEEMED SO REAL, assuming it was edited which is most likely because no way they are starting a fire on top of a building for real. ANYWAYS I MAY HAVE ONLY SEEN 1 EPISODE OF IT BUT IF YOU LIKE THE WEBSERIES YOU REALLY SHOULD CHECK THIS OUT IT'S LIKE MORE OF THE SAME BUT HIGHER BUDGER (and maybe even slightly better!!)

Nirvanna The Band The Show (Webseries) 1 & 2

I just started watching the webseries of Nirvana The Band The Show (which to clarify is not about the Nirvana you are thinking of), and holy shit even though I've only seen 2 episodes it's amazing. It's such a refreshing type of comedy that I haven't really seen done elsewhere, but not in a bad way by any means. Once I'm done with the webseries I'm gonna check out the show, which I'm excited for since I've heard it has a bigger budget. I'll update this again once I've seen more episodes (probably even later today) so stay tuned! And as a wise man once said, "Nothing like a good feeling" which is just a weird fucking thing to say.

Keroro Gunsou (again), De Arimasu!

Holy shit I haven't posted in awhile. Sorry about that. Anyways, I just finished episode 70 of Keroro and it's continuing to be great! Keroro is still my favorite, he is just so silly. AS A CHILD HE WAS SUCH A BASTARD THOUGH OH MY GOD I FEEL SO BAD FOR DORORO😭 and he still somewhat is but it's not AS bad. He is my freak son who I hate, god bless. I cannot wait to get to the movies, they seem very fun so I'm looking forward to them a lot ^u^

Keroro Gunsou, De Arimasu!

I started watching Keroro Gunsou for the first time around 2 weeks ago and I'm really enjoying it! I'm on episode 36 currently, and I already love it. I know it's basic but my favorite character is probably Keroro himself. All of them are amazing characters, though!! It's hard to pick a favorite episode, especially considering I'm not that far in, but I really enjoyed episode 33 (the one where they make an anime). I think it's great that it was basically just about how hard it is to make an anime, but in the form of an anime.

Di Gi Charat Episode 2 (Rewatch), nyo!

This episode introduces my second favorite character (My first being Dejiko)!! This episode starts off with Dejiko, Gema, and Puchiko running errands for Manager, when suddenly a girl pushes Dejiko out of frame which got her "hit by a car, fell into a river, and was almost eaten by a huge koi". The girl in question introduces herself as Dejiko's rival, Rabi~En~Rose

When Dejiko gets back from the river and finds Rabi~En~Rose, she yells at here because "I was hit by a car, fell into a river, and was almost eaten by a huge koi nyo!". Rabi~En~Rose proceeds to tell Dejiko that she's her new rival and the next big idol, but in the middle of her talking, Dejiko hits her with her eye laser beams, knocking her out.

It cuts to Dejiko, Gema, and Puchiko back at gamers talking to Manager, with him saying "Dejiko chan, I was worried that... you were hit by a car, fell into a river, and almost eaten by a koi fish" and Dejiko replying "That's exactly what happened nyo". It then panned over and revealed that Rabi~En~Rose was in the shop! Dejiko immediately asked why she was there and the manager revealed she would be working there from now on aswell, along with the fact that her real name is Usada. Rabi~En~Rose asks Manager not to call her Usada, and Dejiko then decides to call her that for the rest of the series. A fight almost breaks out but then when Rabi~En~Rose tries to grab Dejiko she grabs a new character instead: One of Dejiko's 2 fanboys (who Dejiko refers to as "The Creeps"). The episode ends shortly after.

Di Gi Charat Episode 1 (Rewatch), nyo!

I watched a series called Di Gi Charat (plus the original specials) a bit ago, but I felt like rewatching it so I'm going to talk about my second time watching here! There are only 16 episodes and they are all 3 minutes, but they are a damn good 3 minutes if you ask me.

Recap

In the first episode, Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema arrive to Earth after crashing in Akihabara, Tokyo. Dejiko's goal is to become an idol? Kind of? She doesn't really keep to the goal very much but it is something she wants. Dejiko and the others decide to find a place to stay, before realizing housing is pretty damn expensive. That's when the manager of a store called Gamers (which the show is technically an ad for, but it doesn't really feel like it) walks up to them and after a bit of talking offers them a room above Gamers on the condition that they work in the shop. They of course accept.

Thoughts!

At first the pacing feels weird, but as you watch further you find it's just part of the show! When I started watching the first time I wasn't sure how to feel about it, but on a rewatch (where I'm used to the show's weird pacing and humor) I love it! There's not a whole lot to say about the first episode, but it sets up the plot well and gives you a reason as to why these alien cat girls (and gema) are working at a store.

Clerks

I just watched Clerks with my sister! I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I really like how some of the plots you think were there for no reason actually end up coming back, while some of them don't. I really liked the reoccurring shoe polish thing, and it didn't even have any plot importance. Most of the jokes landed really well, and I like how Randall words things. I can totally see why people recommend this movie.

I was about to say "Dante should've stayed with Veronica" but I think Veronica deserves better. It seems like he didn't really love her, or at least not enough. Also he should NOT get with Caitlin for his own sake, but I think that goes without saying so I won't say much more on that part.

I still don't get why the movie was in black and white, but I got used to it so no complaints about it

Hellbenders Leaked Pilot

I should be doing classwork right now, but I'm too busy thinking about hellbenders (the newgrounds cartoon by oney and psychicpebbles, not the animal) so I'm posting about it in hopes that will help get it out of my head.

My favorite episode is probably the leaked pilot, even though it's unfinished and was never officially released. I recommend you watch it before reading this otherwise you will at best be confused and at worst get spoilers for something you would've liked. I've watched this one so much. I've even shown my mom, which turned out poorly (in my defense I forgot she had a fear of spiders). I love the animation and color on the parts that are finished, it's so smooth and nice to look at. The writing is incredibly funny, both one off jokes and jokes that come back later were amazing. I quote the "You're fucking with me baby, you're fucking with me!" part in my head so often. Part of me wants to just talk about how much i love each individual joke, but that would probably not be fun to read (or comprehensive if we're being honest) so I will keep those in my head.

I wish I was a fan when merch was being made but I was too young. It wouldn't be that big of a problem if it weren't for the fact that NOBODY IS RESELLING THE MERCH!! I really want the poster, which seems like it should be easy to just make myself with a printing company but the only image of it that isn't a picture of the poster (rather than the original art that was printed on it) is the old version which has a bunch of slurs on it😭 no way am I putting that in my bedroom. I do have the modern day oney and psychicpebbles plushies where they are their oneyplays characters, but it would be nice to have the ones from the hellbenders era.

It really makes me sad it wasn't picked up, but at the same time if it was we probably wouldn't have Smiling Friends!

🌟Lucky Star Episode 18🌟

I've been watching a lot of Lucky Star lately! I just finished episode 18 and I want to share my thoughts ^u^

I know it's basic but my favorite character is probably Konata! Although I love all the characters (besides Konata's dad)

It's a really nice show, I like how all the characters (besides Akira) seem like real people you'd meet in day to day life. I like how they have conversations that feel real while still managing to be entertaining :) I've listened to some of the character songs and most of them ARE SO GOOD, I highly recommend giving them a listen
